SSH in FP7: Thematic Activities

The European research landscape regarding socio-economic and socio-cultural aspects as well as the humanities is increasing in credibility and is thus very well perceived. Different approaches within the EU concerning economic, social, political and cultural domains do already demonstrate excellent research-requirements on a European scale.  The purpose of SSH in FP7 is to create a deep, common understanding of the complex, interwoven economic and social challenges, which Europe faces.
These are: growth, employment, competitiveness, social coherence and sustainability, quality of life and global interdependence, especially with regard to creating a basis of knowledge and recommendations for politics.
